Jesús Vallejo will not be moving from Real Madrid in this transfer market despite the fact that he is not part of the white club’s or Carlo Ancelotti’s plans. According to Cadena Cope, the Zaragoza central defender is in no mood to go out on loan again and wants to see out his contract, which expires in 2025, before making another change of scene.
At the age of 27, and after several unsuccessful moves, Vallejo has not been able to straighten out a career that promised much and fell short of expectations. The footballer is one of the few players in the first team that started the preseason on Monday along with Brahim, Lucas, Courtois, Ceballos, Lunin and Fran García and is looking to find a place in the squad even if he is not counted for Ancelotti.
Madrid currently only has three centre-backs on its payroll (Militao, Alaba and Rüdiger) after the departure of Nacho to Arabia and the sit-in of Leny Yoro. The Frenchman was chosen by sports management to strengthen the defense but yesterday he signed for United. However, the white club did not consider Vallejo and, in case of emergency, the favorite to play center back is Aurélien Tchouaméni.
Vallejo signed for Real Madrid in 2015 when he was just 17 years old and is considered one of the centre-backs with the most future on the international scene. However, the expert defender never found his place in the white team, regardless of who the coach was. After his loan spells at Zaragoza (2015/16) and Eintracht, Vallejo spent his first full season at Real Madrid in the 17/18 campaign.
He played only 12 games with Zidane and the following season did not go much better with Lopetegui/Solari/Zidane, as he only participated in 7 games. In total, 19 games in two campaigns forced him to pack his bags to decide to go to Wolverhampton and in the same season to Granada.
He spent a year and a half at the Nasrid club (50 games) and returned to Madrid, where he was removed again for two seasons (21/22 and 22/23) where he played 13 games with Carlo Ancelotti . He returned to Nuevo Los Cármenes last year but, due to various non-sporting problems, he participated in only three games.
