A weekend of clear zurigorri color was experienced in Espinosa de los Monteros including the celebration of ’19th Red and White Festival’which also coincides with the 24th anniversary of Athletic Supporters Club from the town of Burgos.
The starting signal was given on Friday, when the first members of the supporters’ club arrived, although the big day was on Saturday. There were many moments of fraternization with the Bilbao team as a point of unity, also to celebrate and remember a season that was historic with cup and the later Barge.
On Saturday a popular meal was held in the town square and then it was time to serve the ‘XI Sentiment Trophy’which this time for Peña Zurigorri de Fruiz. There was also recognition for Ibai MagdalenoEuropean and world 10-kilometer road champion in adapted athletics.
In other words, a red-and-white weekend in the town of Espinosa de los Monteros. In town, they are carefully preparing next year’s party, which will simultaneously serve as a celebration of the quarter century of the Athletic de Espinosa Supporters Club.
