Mamadou Mbacke, 21 years old Senegalese center backwho played on loan at Barça Atlètic this season, will continue in the ranks of the Barça club after the official agreement announced this Monday by FC Barcelona with Los Angeles FC, the club that owns its rights. Mbacke will sign a contract as a culé until 2026, which can be extended by two more optional seasons.
A day after officially confirming the departure of the Barça reserve team coach, Rafa Márquez, to the technical staff of the Mexico national team, Barça have secured a signing that interested them after being highly satisfied with Mbaccke’s performance in 2023- 24 seasons while he was injury free he started in the center of defense alongside his compatriot Mika Faye.
In that first season at Barça Atlètic, Mbacke also spent some time without playing due to a delay in the processing of his file by the federation.
In the loan agreement closed last summer, Barça has a purchase option worth 4 million euros.
At 21 years old, his defensive quality as a corrective central defender and his concentration to defeat rivals in close combat made him a very interesting addition that finally paid off.
