Jonas Vingegaard’s next calendar includes the San Sebastian Classic

The 44th edition of the San Sebastian Classic The engines are warming up and it is slowly becoming known which cyclists will compete in it, in a test that will have the presence of 25 teams and 175 cyclists.

The journey

The route of the San Sebastián Classic changes again compared to previous years due to changes in the roads and for safety reasons. In this edition, the runners will have to travel 236 km, 6 more than last year, to win the txapela in Zurriola. 7 scoring ports will be uploaded but there are also surprises: Andazarate, Azkarate, Urraki, Alkiza, Jaizkibel, Erlaitz and Pilotegi. The latter is a new raise that debuted in Classic to replace Murgil. Pilotegi is a more demanding climb than Murgil or Bordako Torra with ramps of up to 27%. This edition will have 2 intermediate sprints that will be seen on the first step at the finish line and at kilometer 219.5 that will pass the opposite finish line.

The last edition of the Clásica in San Sebastián was won by Remco Evenepelin front of Pello Bilbao and Vlasov, This is the third time the Belgian has won the test.
