Pecco Bagnaia will tackle the first MotoGP Grand Prix after the summer break leading the general classification. The Italian took first place from Jorge Martín, classified first until his fall in the race held at the Sachsenring. The one in Turin has it 222 points in his locker, ten more than the Madrid native and 56 more than Marc Márquez.
On the German track, the two-time world champion in the category gave an interview to ‘Mow Magazine’ where he did not shy away from any questions and spoke about his sporting rivalry with Marc Márquez and what is expected of them now and in the future.
In the conversation, Bagnaia also answered which is his favorite Ducati of all the ones he has ridden in MotoGP: I am not sure, because every rider needs his own equipment. I feel good on the Desmosedici GP23 – the one Marc Márquez is currently riding -; although, For me, the best bike since I rode Ducati was the GP22 because it was the most successful bike ever. She has no weakness, she is very beautiful. I think if I was still racing in GP22 today, I would be at the top“.
Regarding the motorcycle driven by Marc Márquez, the Italian emphasized that “The GP23 has its strong points; it has more grip than the GP22, but is difficult to brake. The GP24 – the one he is driving himself this year – has less grip and turns more, as in addition to being slightly better at braking. There are pros and cons, so flexibility must be very high. In GP24 I didn’t have a good start. We worked hard on the tests, but we left some things unresolved. “Friday, in Jerez, is the most important test of this season.”
