He UEFA Referees Committee was appointed the Swiss Sandro Schärer to referee the match UEFA Super Cup 2024 in between real Madrid and the Atalanta which will take place on Wednesday, August 14 at the National Stadium in Warsaw in Poland
The 36-year-old referee has been an international referee since 2015 and has refereed 86 matches of UEFA in his career so far, regularly being the main referee in club competitions of UEFA and international matches.
He was selected as a referee for UEFA EURO 2024refereeing two matches in the group stage, as well as a knockout match in UEFA Europa League and within itin the UEFA Europa Conference League last season.
This is the second time he whistled for the white club. The precedent was in September last year when they won 0-3 matches Celtic I’m in the group stage. In the case of the Italian, this is the third time he has managed Atalanta and the previous two also ended in victory. The last in the round of 16 second leg of the last edition of Europe where they beat Sporting Lisbon 2-1.
His countrymen will help him Stephane De Almeida and Jonas Erniwhile Mykola Balakin (Ukraine) will act as the fourth referee.
