The dream of any Roma tifosi is now a reality. Roma will have a new stadium from 2026, breaking away from sharing a stadium with Lazio, its national rival.
Italy’s capital club now has a new home. Thanks to the investment of the Friedkin family, Roma was able to move from the Olympic Stadium to Rome. The stadium will cover about 800 hectares, with commercial areas. It is located seven kilometers from the Capitol.
“This extraordinary stadium is not only a new home for AS Roma and its fans, but also a point of reference for all citizens of Rome,” Friedkin said after the meeting. “The new Curva Sud, destined to be Curva Sud , the biggest in Europe, will be a powerful focal point that will contain the passion and energy of our fans.”
