Bryan Gil, is now an official Girona player for the 2024/2025 season. The Tottenham player has renewed at the London club to join Míchel Sánchez’s project and become the new winger to wear the Gironina jersey. He arrived on loan until the end of the season.
At 23 years old, the winger returned to LaLiga, with the aim of adding minutes and regaining the sensations, as he did at Eibar and Seville. In the last hours he underwent a medical check-up and will be available in the next session with the rest of the squad.
“Arriving at Girona, for me, is a very important step, especially at the sporting level. As soon as the club contacted my agent, I saw no other place to go to that was better than this one in terms of of sports level, level of play and the squad,” Bryan Gil emphatically announced in his first words as a player of Girona , that He also emphasized the figure of Míchel and believes that his commitment to the Catalan club has been a success in all respects.
The season is exciting, but the winger wants to stay strong and cautious. “It’s difficult to set challenges at this point in time, I think they should be set long-term so they can achieve long-term goals, work little by little. I challenge myself to enjoy football, work as much as possible me, have discipline and be professional,” he declared.
His experience at Tottenham hasn’t taken him out of the Spanish competition. “I was followed a lot in LaLiga, more in the Premier, even when I was there in England,” he confessed, highlighting Gironin’s last season. “Girona’s football is attractive and bold, which I like. “Attack, pressing and being offensive is something that goes with me and I think this year is the continuation of last season,” he said with conviction.
He defines himself as an intense player, who wants to constantly break the lines with dribbles or through the walls and knows that he has arrived in a special position, the one abandoned by Savinho, a reference for to Bryan himself. “I like brave players and Girona were lucky to have Savinho last year. He is the type of player that I admire, I also like players that are Di Maria’s style,” he added to the list.
He admits that he has little experience in the Champions League but, laughing, he is convinced to monopolize more minutes in his new venture. “This is Girona’s first season in Europe but there are players in the squad who have experience in European competitions and in world football, although it is true that Europe is different. “I know that every game is hard to win and every mistake punishes you,” he explained.
