This Tuesday, Rayo Vallecano presented its kits for the 2024-25 season, a launch that raised dust as the design of the shirts angered a large section of Vallecas fans.
What is the cause of the discomfort? It is nothing but the absence of a front stripe of the shirt, an element that has become traditional and classic in Rayo’s clothing. In the new kits with the centenary logo, unveiled on Tuesday, the emblematic strip is absent and includes a lightning bolt, a fact that angered fans.
The Vallecano club announced early this Tuesday what the first kit will be, including Óscar Valentín as a model. The shirt is white, with the centennial logo in red and very central, the RVM shield. The stripe crossing the chest does not appear, nor does the name under which ADRV was born. The second skin, worn by Isi Palazón, it’s red with the logo in white and the third, with Óscar Trejo, is gray with black logo.
The shirt is now public and fans have shown their rejection, protesting that a very important sign of the franjirrojo club’s identity has been removed.
