The Danish runner Jonas Vingegaard (Team Visma)with a time of 4:01:27, is the new leader of the general classification, after the second stage (time trial) of the Tour of Poland, held this Tuesday between Myslakowice and Karpacz (15.4 kilometers).
Vingegaard set the second fastest time (24:08) after crossing the finish line, leaving him nine seconds behind the time trial champion, the Belgian cyclist. Tim Wellens (UAE), with a time of 23:59.
In third and fourth place, 15 seconds behind Wellens, came the Austrian Felix Grobschartner (UAE) and the Scottish Oscar Onley (DSM).
Raúl Garcia Pierna (Arkéa) bested the Spaniards by 40 seconds, while Xavier Azparren (Pro Cycling Team) lost one minute and 49 seconds to the Belgian.
The Danish cyclist was first overall with a time, after the bonus, of 4:01:27, followed by the Dutch Wilco Kerderman (TVL), 24 seconds behind, while Italian Diego Ulissi (UAE) was third at 25 seconds.
The third stage will be held next Wednesday between the provinces of Wałbrzych and Duszniki-Zdrój, on a 156.5 kilometer mountain route.
