Real Madrid Femenino lost the Teide Trophy to Tenerife in a penalty shootout in the first of three friendlies they will play this preseason. The local team took the lead on the scoreboard through María José in the 78th minute and White managed to force a shootout with a lucky own goal by goalkeeper Lara.
In the eleven meter lottery, the Canarian team was more successful and finally the Teide Trophy stayed at home (7-6). Real Madrid’s next preparations are on August 25 against Madrid CFF and September 1 against Deportivo de La Coruña.
Alberto Toril’s team, without the internationals who participated in the Olympic Games in Paris (Misa, Tere, Olga, Athenea, Antonia Silva), also cannot count on most of the footballers signed this summer. Only the German Leupolz debuted.
