No one closes the turn
We are 15 minutes into the session and although many drivers have come out to check the track conditions, none of them have closed a lap and set a time. Besides the heavy rain, there is also a very strong wind which greatly disturbs the stability of the vehicles.
Hulkenberg excursion
The German from Haas was the first to suffer the consequences of how waterlogged the track was. He went out onto the gravel but luckily didn’t run over and was able to return to the pits to check for ground damage.
