Jannik Sinner made a decision in the last few hours fire his physical trainer and physiotherapist. This is after it was found out in the past few days the Italian tested positive for Clostebol in Indian Wellsa case that was not sanctioned by the ATP after addressing the tennis player’s allegations.
In one case that happened in March, Sinner waited until it was made public to make a decision dispense to Umberto Ferrara, until now his physical trainer, and Giacomo Naldi, who is his physiotherapist. Both have been identified by their team as responsible for treatment they provided to the player for a broken finger during the Indian Wells tournament.
According to the tennis player’s version, accepted by the ATP, Sinner was treated with a product containing Clostebol and his physiotherapist treated him without gloves because he did not know it contained the substance. The ATP did not sanction the player for the positive test, but the Italian’s reaction after it was leaked to the public was not long in coming.
