The Spanish cyclist of the Spanish Under-23 National Team Pablo Torreswho on Wednesday was able to become the leader of Touring the Futurelost the yellow jersey, after losing four minutes and 58 seconds in the fifth stage, which is 119.3 kilometers, between the towns of Les Karellis and Condoue.
Victory went to the Italian Florian Samuelafter beating the Belgian Emiel Verstrynge and the British Louis Sutton in the sprint to the finish, second and third respectively.
Torres finished in eleventh position in 4’58”, and sixth overall, three minutes and 55 seconds behind the Englishman. Joseph Blackmore who is the new leader with a time, after the bonus, of 17:13:23, followed in 24 seconds by the Dutch Tijmen Graat, while the Frenchman Léo Bisiaux is now third in 45 seconds.
The sixth and final stage will be held this Saturday between Bobbio Pellice and Colle delle Finestre, on a 120 kilometer route.
