The trial for the death of the former Argentine soccer player Diego Armando Maradonawhich was scheduled to begin on June 4 and then on October 1, has been postponed for the second consecutive time and is scheduled for March 11, 2025, according to judicial sources reported this Thursday.

It was decided this Thursday by Oral Criminal Court No. 3 of San Isidro (province of Buenos Aires), where the case investigating the alleged medical negligence in the death of one of the greatest football idols in the world is being followed, of which eight people have been charged, all of them relates to the care given to the former international and former coach of the Argentine national team in his final days.

‘Pelusa’ died on November 25, 2020, 25 days after turning 60, as a result of “acute lung edema secondary to exacerbated chronic heart failure.” A “dilated cardiomyopathy” was also discovered in his heart.
