The football world is saying a final goodbye to the former Swedish England coach Sven-Goran Erikssonwho died of cancer at the age of 76 on August 26, with David Beckham leading the mourners at his funeral. The former United man, 49, captained Eriksson’s team during his prime and flew out to pay tribute in person in Sven’s hometown of Torsby.
This morning saw a coffin being carried into Fryksande Church, while a large screen outside showed Sven’s image before the service. The children of the deceased, Johan and Lina, were photographed arriving. His long-term partner Nancy Dell’olio, 63, will also join the funeral procession organized to celebrate the life of the football legend.
