Everything is ready for Muniain’s debut in Argentina

Date:

Great expectations in Argentina for Iker Muniain’s debut today with San Lorenzo. Everything suggests that the former Athletic captain will start the match against Vélez on the bench, but even so there is huge interest in seeing him in action with his new team. The start of the clash to be held at the Nuevo Gasómetro is scheduled at 8 pm (3 pm in Buenos Aires).

The arrival of the footballer in Navarre caused a great stir in the environment of the Ciclón. The Barça club has launched a special season ticket promotion with Muniain’s photo so that fans can watch this and the other matches that will remain played at this stadium until the end of the year and has also held various works to open a new screen in the South Grandstand and renovate the tunnel where the players exit. All set, then, to add heat and color to what should be the former lion’s debut in front of his new fans.

Pipi Romagnoli, coach of San Lorenzo, surprised this week in one of his training sessions by testing Muniain in a position that is not the most usual for him. Navarrese played in this training with the substitute team in what they call ‘double five’ (double pivot) in Argentina. Everything, in any case, seems to be reduced to a simple test.

From the Barça environment, they make sure that the former Athletic captain feels good physically and keeps his quality of football intact, although he may notice the lack of rhythm of the competition because four months have passed since he played him in his last official match.
