“Jon has been suffering from severe flu symptoms for the past few days. In the best interest of his team and as prescribed by his medical team, he will not play this weekend. A week after Rahm was crowned champion at LIV Golf in Chicago, the Saudi Arabian government-funded circuit closes its third season with the team final, which puts $50 million in prize money at stake. The winning team will take home fourteen million dollars.

Last week, Jon Rahm won $18 million for being the individual season champion, in addition to $4 million for winning the Chicago tournament.
