Lack of goal for Celta Fortuna and Unionistas de Salamanca. The light blue reserve team failed to break its poor run of results in a match with two different sides and was marked by ineffectiveness in front of goal.
The Salamanca team started the game better, creating danger for Marc Vidal’s goal. Gorka Santamaría was on the boot after quarter of an hour, but the light blue goalkeeper’s skill kept out the first blow from the visitors. The match progressed without much rhythm in the first period, although both teams pulled away near the break. Rabadán was the star with a cross shot that went wide and Celta Fortuna struggled to maintain the tie.
The bad feeling at the beginning of the game for the Vigo team disappeared at the beginning of the second half. Celta Fortuna took the lead, creating danger through talented footballers like Fer López and Dela. Fredi Álvarez’s team monopolized the football and Óscar Marcos had a chance to open the scoring after a good pass from Miguel Román. The light blues turned their backs on Iván Martínez’s goal with the job in the second half as the Unionistas took advantage of their defensive solidity. Celta tried again and again, but were ineffective in front of goal. The two coaches moved the bench looking for solutions to the stagnation of the scoreboard as the Unionists underwent the best version of the reserve team this season. In extra time came an opportunity that the Castilian-Leonese team did not enjoy throughout the second half. An Álvaro Gómez shot almost gave Dani Llácer’s side three points, but goalkeeper Marc Vidal once again emerged as a local hero. The tie allowed the Unionistas to continue adding points and look to the top of the table while Celta were unable to turn around their disastrous start to the season.
