The Paralympic multi-medallist Ricardo Ten won this Friday in the online test of the C1 Individual category and thus completed a golden double at the World Cycling and Paracycling Championships held in Zurich (Switzerland)
Like last Tuesday’s time trial, The Valencian won gold ahead of Zbigniew Maciejewskialthough this time Ten won not on the authority of the time trial but in a painful sprint in which the Polish runner asked more of him.
Both completed the 62.7 km route, on a circuit with a slope in the middle where the runners completed ten laps, in a time of 1 hour, 37 minutes and 45 seconds and an average speed of 38.486 k/hour.
At 4.05 a group of five units arrived with the German Pierre Senska taking the bronze beating the Brazilian Carlos Alberto Gomes Sores, fourth, in the sprint, and the Dutch Andre Wijnhoud, third in the time trial and this time fifth.
Also competing in their trial were individual C2, Maurice Eckhard and Luis Javier Arcega, who were sixth and seventh in the time trial. This Friday they finished fourteenth and ninth, respectively.
