Paula Badosa dropped to the podium of the WTA world rankings this week and the third step was occupied by Tunisian Ons Jabeurwith Iga Swiatek of Poland and Anett Kontaveit of Estonia in first and second place, respectively.
Badosa dropped to fourth place with 4,245 points (Jabeur had 4,340). Greek Maria Sakkari took one spot, with 4,205 points, to be fifth at the expense of Aryna Sabalenka, 4,145, all at just over a hundred points.
American Danielle Collins also earned a position to be eighth, taking it from her compatriot Jessica Pegula, while Garbiñe Muguruza continues to close out selected clubs in the world top 10.
As far as the other Spanish players in the top100 are concerned, Sara Sorribes climbed 2 steps and was 40th, while Nuria Párrizas remained at 52nd.
