Manchester City fans will display a banner this Saturday during the match against Fulham at the Etihad Stadium asking Pep Guardiola Let him stay and not leave next summer, when his contract is up.
A group of fans raised 1,000 pounds to display a banner in favor of renewing the Catalan coach.
Pep’s response to the initiative
“They have to give me the bill and I pay for the banner. I don’t want them to spend money on that. What can I say? I appreciate it very much, I fell in love with the club from the first day I arrived. “What happens, happens,” said Pep.
After nine years at the club, Guardiola finished on June 30 and still hasn’t shown any signs of wanting to renew it.
This summer’s release coincides with a verdict of 115 charges for opposing financial ‘fair play’ in which City are being judged, as well as a hypothetical departure from the English team, currently in the hands of a temporary Lee Carsley since he left Gareth Southgate after the Euro Cup.
