The pressures, the silent heroes

Many of the situations that occur in the race are not what they seem. For example, the meters that Bagnaia lost in relation to Acosta before he went down. They were not the result of Pedro’s increased speed, but rather a ‘breather’ given by Bagnaia to his over-pressured front tire. And something similar happened in the middle of the MotoGP peloton.

Acosta

And 9 again

On the third lap the Murcian overtook Bagnaia to lead the race with authority. He seemed to debut at the top of the box, but on lap 9, after marking his best sector 2, Acosta fell to the ground. Pedro is a seasoned student; I’m sure he won’t make the little mistake he admitted to again. Tomorrow he will have a chance to redeem himself.

Flawless management

Saturday victory number 6 for Pecco. He probably wasn’t the fastest on the track, maybe not even the second fastest, but he crossed first under the checkered flag, which is what it’s all about. One of the best managed races of the year.

The classification

Canceling Márquez’s fastest lap in Q2

He took pole, breaking the circuit record, but the cameras showed him stepping on the green during that spectacular lap. Marc failed, but as he said after the race, “I know I have the speed and the rhythm.”

KTM breakdown

Yesterday afternoon he finished at the top of the classification and in Q2 he entered the second row of the grid. The South African was an obvious candidate to have an impressive career, but it was in the second round that his KTM gave up its soul.
