With Liverpool without a win in their last four games and missing out on the League Cup, a 4-1 victory over Ipswich brought relief to West Ham and Julen Lopetegui, who met again with victory a month later.
The London team quickly opened the victory. On 48 seconds, Michail Antonio scored 1-0, with all the composure it must have meant for his team, but just five minutes later Ipswich equalised, through Delap, with a fine manoeuvre.
West Ham settled the match later, with Mohamed Kudus’ 2-1 header, Jarrod Bowen’s 3-1 at the start of the second half and Lucas Paquetá’s final 4-1 in the 69th minute.
Lopetegui’s side are twelfth in the table, while Ipswich are out of relegation, one point ahead of Crystal Palace
