Voting for the 2022 World Cup will take place on Friday.

All the participating countries will find their opponent in the group for the tournament that will be held in Qatar in the winter.

England have already qualified, while Wales and Scotland are still hoping to reach the playoffs.

This year’s tournament will be the last in 32 countries before FIFA expands its format to include 48 teams at the 2026 World Cup in North America.

When is the lottery date?

Voting for the World Cup in Qatar will take place on Friday 1 April at 5pm UK time.

Which TV?

The lottery will be broadcast live on BBC One.

Is it a direct stream?

Yes, it will be broadcast on the FIFA website.

Who qualified for the 2022 World Cup?

Belgium, Brazil, France, Argentina, England, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Croatia, Uruguay, Senegal, Iran, Japan, Morocco, Serbia, Poland, South Korea, Canada, Tunisia, Cameroon, Arab Ecuador and Qatar Ghana.

How will it work?

Eight groups of four teams will be drawn for groups A to H, and each group will have no more than two European teams. One team per bank will be subject to each group.

Qatar and the top seven teams from Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, England, France, Portugal and Spain will be moved to separate groups.

The teams in the 8th to 15th rating are in the second bank, and the 16th to 23rd in the third bank, while the fourth includes the teams in the top 24 and the three playoff winners.

Scotland, Ukraine or Wales will be in the fourth bank.

What is the deadline?

The World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 21 to December 18.
