Wayne Rooney, llegend of Manchester United and current coach of Plymouth, assured that the best player in England is Phil Foden, ahead of Cole Palmer and Jude Bellingham.
The former player, who now manages Plymouth in the Championship (English second division), spoke to sports radio “talkSport” about Lee Carsley’s latest call for England to face Greece and Finland in the Nations League.
“For me the best Phil Foden. “I know he hasn’t played much this season for Manchester City, but at his best, he’s the best footballer in England,” Rooney said.
“Cole Palmer He has been sensational since he left for Chelsea and you can also talk about everything that Jude Bellingham is doing in Real Madrid, but for me the best is Foden. “I really enjoy seeing him,” he said.
Carsley, England’s interim coach needs to know which of the three players to leave out now that all three are available – Bellingham has missed the last two games through injury. Palmer was sacrificed at the Euro Cup, where he played regularly as a substitute, including in the final where he scored the equalizer against Spain.
