Burkina Faso is the first team to qualify for the final stage of the 2025 Africa Cup, in addition to host Morocco, thanks to its victory today against Burundi (2-0) in Abidjan (Ivory Coast).
Mohamed Konaté (5th) and Bertrand Traoré, former Villarreal striker currently at Ajax, from a penalty (94′), they scored the goals that confirmed their place in the tournament. The final stage will be played in Morocco from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026 with 24 participants.
After four games, Burkina Faso has three wins and one draw and leads the table with 10 points and has secured a place in the top two of group L to qualify.
Senegal, who will also qualify on Tuesday if they win their visit to Malawi, have 7 points from three games. Burundi has 3 out of 4 and Malawi, 0 out of 3.
