Racing de Santander, leaders of the Hypermotion League, and Argentine Racing de Avellaneda combined their kits so that the inclusive teams of both clubs share a jersey.
“You know that one of my dreams is to twin our Real Racing Club with Racing de Avellaneda,” emphasized the largest shareholder of the Cantabrian entity and president of the Foundation, the Argentine Sebastián Ceria, that presented this Tuesday this and other actions of the Foundation with its director, Cesar Anievas.
The t-shirt design
The shirt, designed by Racing de Santander’s Marketing Director, Pablo Norberto Ruiz, It mixes the white and light blue stripes of the Argentine club with the green and white stripes of the Cantabrian club, as well as their shields, each located on one half of the chest.
Anievas explained that it was the first action taken by the Racing Foundation within the cooperation agreement signed this year between the two clubs. “I’m sure there will be more to come,” he added.
Fund the Foundation
The Racing Foundation “needs money” to carry out all the planned actions, its president acknowledged, which is why it is trying to expand its sources of income, which are currently based on training activities.
“99% of professional clubs don’t approach it that way. They usually rely more on donations from fans, subsidies, etc,” Anievas explained.
The Foundation wants to take a step in this direction and, therefore, Anievas sees it as very important that people know that in Cantabria the first 250 euros have a 95% tax deduction. “The Treasury, of 250 euros, returns you 237.50, so the real investment is 12.5,” he pointed out.
How do you get the t-shirt?
The Foundation cards are enabled for career players who “not only care about the team’s classification and football, but also focus on the social side of the club.”
There will be three levels. The first, for those who donate from 60 euros, that they will receive the ‘homegrown card’; from 150 euros, level equal to ‘pioneer card’; and from 250 euros will receive the ‘legend card’.
All of them can enjoy advantages, packs, raffles and discounts. Besides, Those who donate from 150 euros will receive a t-shirt as a gift which combines Racing de Avellaneda and its Cantabrian counterpart.
“But the most important thing is the donation from the heart, that they really donated because they believe in the social project that we are doing in our social work,” they noted.
In addition, Racing de Santander will give some of these brotherhood t-shirts to his counterpart in Mozambique, who play in the second division of this country.
Trade support
Ceria and Anievas also elaborated on that Foundation relaunches ‘racing zone’ project for all establishments in Cantabria that want to support Racing in their social sphere.
They are recognizable two types of donations. The 250 euroswhich includes gifts from the Foundation, such as the scarf, flag and brotherhood t-shirt presented today; and one of 500 euros, with some “slightly more relevant” gifts and the option to choose between this new shirt and an official personalized and signed club shirt.
In addition, they announced that the Racing Store will sell the Foundation’s own products. “No collaboration is too small,” added Sebastián Ceria.
The Foundation also launched a website (http://fundacion.realracingclub.es) because it “took its own path” and needed its own space to collect all its projects and news.
