Chinese electronics manufacturer Hisense has signed on as the first official partner for FIFA Club World Cup next year, soccer’s world governing body said Wednesday. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed, but Hisense will receive the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) brand during the expanded 32-team competition that will take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13.
The multinational, based in Shandong, became a sponsor of FIFA for the first time in 2017. “We are delighted to welcome Hisense, a leading brand in the global market, as an official partner of the FIFA Club World Cup. FIFA 2025,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino at the launch of the partnership in Shanghai. FIFA also expects to announce more sponsorship deals in the coming weeks.
