In the absence of official confirmation, everything indicates that Valencia-Real Madrid will be postponed like the four other matches that have to be played this weekend in the Valencian Community in the First and Second Divisions in solidarity with the victims and those affected by DANA which has caused nearly a hundred deaths in the eastern area.
Valencia asked the League this morning to postpone this Saturday’s match against Madrid at the Mestalla and this afternoon, the Patronal raised the request to the RFEF, adding the other four matches played in the Community of Valencia: Villarreal CF- Rayo Vallecano, CD Castellón – RC Ferrol, CD Eldense-SD Huesca and Levante UD-Málaga CF. Three days of official mourning were declared in the autonomous community.
In Real Madrid they have already assumed that the game will not be held this Saturday. So the white team’s website says “postponed” instead of the match time. Madrid showed their solidarity by observing a minute’s silence in training on Wednesday and made themselves available to Valencia.
