Juventus licked its wounds against Udinese

Date:

The Juventus Turin imposed his talent against Udinese (0-2) to take the Bluenergy Stadium three important points to stay out of the title race after two draws in the previous days. A play by Khéphren Thuram in the 19th minute turned the game around and a goal from Savona (37′) gave Thiago Motta’s team peace of mind.

There was no time for speculation in Motta’s team, which went out to eat grass and sent a warning to the sailors. Although Naples and Inter Milan have gained a slight advantage in the table, here they are.

Udinese struggled to pass from the middle of the field, as Juventus applied perfect pressure. On the right, Weah and Savona continued to reach the baseline, trying to feed Vlahovic with crosses. On the left Yildiz entered, especially active. In the central area, Locatelli, Thuram and Koopmeiners beat the blacks and whites.

In the 20th minute, Thuram burst powerfully from behind to take advantage of a pass from Yildiz inside the area on the left side, shoot a shot and finish crosswise. His low shot hit the post and then hit the head of Okoye, who put it into his own goal.

They kept up the pressure on the ‘Vecchia Signora’, but didn’t score again until the 37th minute. At that moment the visiting team recovered in the opponent’s field, Thuram passed it to Yildiz and he took out his wand, dribbled in and his shot hit the post, the rebound fell to Savona, who headed it in first to an empty goal. The young Italian full-back continues to make a sensation.

Juventus’ stability is back

In the second part the story may be different. Juventus gave the ball to Udinese and limited themselves to defending and counter-attacking. Thauvin appeared between the lines and gave several warnings, but Di Gregorio responded well. On a pass between the center back and the goalkeeper, Davis gave Gatti a slight push, which collided with his goalkeeper and the ball came loose. It ended up being a goal disallowed due to a previous foul.

For the rest, one is lacking and unable. Juventus who took 7 days to accept returned, leaving the four placed by Inter Milan and the two from Parma.

Between corner kick and corner kick, and with a crossbar involved, a match went to the death with Juventus returning to winning ways after two draws. They are still unbeaten in Serie A. They will now look to the midweek visit to surprise Lille in the Champions League.
