Provide landscapes – This is currently the most longing wish of many farmers in Styria. The reality looks different: persistent sultry heat, wind and only occasionally a short, violent thunderstorm. South and West Styria in particular is currently suffering from drought. “For example, 18 liters of rain, for example, have fallen in June. On average it should actually be 120,” says Geosphere -Meteorologist Christian Pehsl. Due to the high temperatures, the bottoms dry out even faster.
