Tragic bad accidents caused various dramatic missions in Vienna on Sunday. An 85-year-old woman did not survive an accident in the new Danube, a child and two men had to be resuscitated.
According to the police, the 85-year-old in the evening in the new Danube was discovered in the water in the Raffinienstraße. Pasers -and acquaintances went to the coast and immediately started resuscitation. The alarmed police officers also continued the resuscitation measures. The woman was finally taken to intensive care, but died a little later.
Girl (8) in mortal danger
On the same evening there was also a serious bad accident in the Bathing pound of Hirschstetten (Donaustadt). According to the police, an eight -year -old girl drove a few minutes in the water before discovering the parents and the emergency services. The fire brigade took over the resuscitation, the child was flown to the hospital by the rescue helicopter. According to the police, the girl is an acute danger to life.
Passers-by discovered 28-year-olds in the water
In the afternoon two other men had to be saved from the new Danube. Around 4 p.m. a 28-year-old went down near the Neue Donube metro station. Pasters saved him from the water and immediately started resuscitating. The Brandbrigade produced the measures and brought the man to the hospital by helicopter.
He was treated in the Intensive Care in the AKH and was still in mortal danger, as the AKH spokeswoman announced.
Moments later there was a next assignment near the Reichsbrücke, the Rudolf-Nurejew Promenade. Here too, a 41-year-old had to be saved, resuscitated and treated with a defibrillator. He was also flown to the hospital in a critical condition. According to the Vienna Health Association, he was still in mortal danger on Monday.
