The relationship between FC Barcelona and the Animation Stand He was more tense than before. The club forwarded the amount of fines received for the files opened last season, approximately 21,000 euros, and the Penya Barcelonista Almogàvers, the Penya Barcelonista Front 532, the Penya Barcelonista Nostra Ensenya and the Barça Supporters responded that of a statement on social networks, expressing their dissatisfaction and announcing that they will remain silent during the first minutes of this Sunday’s clash.
The statement from the Animation Stand
After the request received by the 4 groups of Animation Space (EdA) sent by the Social Area of FC Barcelona and also after it was made public by the Communication Department of the Club itself, the groups of Animation Space are obliged to announce :
Since the 90s, the youngest fans of the Camp Nou have been asking for a stand where all Barcelona fans who want to cheer on the team can gather. In 2011 the Members’ Assembly approved and adopted the creation of an entertainment stand.
In the 2016/17 season, the current EdA was created and since then there has been a before and after when it comes to entertainment at Camp Nou. Eda’s goal is to help and push the team to achieve victories and titles: to be the number 12 player.
From the various cheering groups in the stands, songs emerged that became a reference for the fans, the players and the Club itself, as in 1899, the Club I carry in my heart was born”, “if we all have fun, we will win” or “A game day”. Also from EdA we made tifos that became the iconography of the Club, such as “Walking To Glory” or the mega flag displayed against PSG with big 1899 with ‘Moreneta’ in the middle and the city skyline And it is true that the momentum of the stand with all the Barcelona fans present in the field helped to win many games, achieve victories and titles.
We know this is true and our work is important to offer good support to the team. The players themselves let us know, they sing our songs, share our tifos on social networks and approach us to share the joy and celebrate the victories and even to thank us for the support in big defeats. It is true that there are occasions when there are shouts and chants that are objectionable and vetoed by the establishment that controls modern football, but in any case these shouts are not made in a chorus and organized by the whole stand . These are cries that are initiated individually, from time to time and in some cases even from places close to EdA but in EdA itself.
We understand the Club’s desire to reduce and eliminate these outcries, but we are convinced that the Club is completely wrong in its ways. We believe that making the 4 groups and all their members pay in full for the punishments received for acts carried out individually and in some cases sporadically is not the way to go. It seems that the Club is very ignorant of Eda members and in its actions criminalizes every member of Eda groups. Thus the righteous will end up paying for the sinners.
The next match against Espanyol we will hold a protest to show our rejection of this way of acting by the Club. For the first 15 minutes of the game will be present in the stands but we will not cheer. We will just be spectators. From the 15th minute, we will encourage our players so that the whole field is player number 12 and help them achieve victory.
We deeply regret that the Club made this decision and we continue to question what it has denied us for months, a continuous and permanent dialogue that helps us improve our core work,
