motorcycling | Moto3 Ana Carrasco’s place in the World Cup is in danger after Assen

Date:

The ceheginera, who has not scored after ten races, could say goodbye to Moto3 on Sunday, despite Boe Motorsport’s doubts.

Ceheginera rider Ana Carrasco’s return to the Moto3 World Championship proves to be much more complicated than expected. He continues to suffer from physical problems following the massive crash in Estoril in September 2020, an accident that nearly cost him his pension. And it is noticeable. In addition, he drives with a counterweight of nine kilos and has still not scored after ten races. Worst of all, there’s no progression and it’s getting further and further away from the head. In fact, last Sunday at the German GP he came in 22nd place, 77 seconds behind the winner, Izan Guevara. Along with Taiyo Furusato and Joshua Whatley, Carrasco, 25, is the only one to not score a single point in the entire championship in the entire World Championship.

For example, some portals specializing in motorcycling are already reporting that Carrasco could lose his place as a pilot for Boe Motorsport, a Spanish team that got him back for charity over this summer break last winter. For example, this Sunday in Assen would be the last test of the ceheginera in the Moto3 World Championship in 2022.

Ana Carrasco has already competed for three Moto3 seasons between 2013 and 2015 and was also World Supersport 300 champion in 2018. She has experience and a track record, but is going too slowly this year. She herself admits that she lacks rhythm and speed.

Gerard Riu, his first teammate at Boe Motorsport, didn’t go fast either. But David from Seville has just arrived at the team, who already excels at the age of 16 with the same bike as Carrasco. He was second in Montmeló, in his second race in the World Championship.
