Spanish golf will have eight representatives in this School Final. Only on two occasions were there fewer players in the Final. Twice in 22 editions (in 2020 and 2021 it was not held due to the Covid pandemic). It was in 2017 and 2013. In both editions there were only seven Spanish. However, in 2013 Carlos del Moral won the tournament, the only one to get a card, and in 2017 Gonzalo Fernández Castaño and Pep Anglés won. The record for Spaniards in a DP World Tour School Final was set in 2006 with 17 players, of which eight earned a card.

The eight Spaniards who will play, barring a last-minute setback regarding the state of the fields, this week’s Final are Gonzalo Fernández Castaño, Joseba Torres, Borja Virto, Luis Masaveu, Albert Boneta, Santi Tarrio, Adri Arnaus and Sebas García Rodríguez. Torres, Masaveu and Boneta are making their debut in this aspect while the others already know what it means to play in this all-or-nothing tournament.

Last year, Sebas García Rodríguez and Alfredo García Heredia got the card this way, while Joel Moscatel was just out of the gate.
