Alberto Contador, the only Spanish cyclist with a Tour, Vuelta and Giro on his record, has announced that the Foundation that bears his name has started a project to collect bicycles to bring them to towns affected by DANA.
“In the affected areas there are major mobility problems. We know from friends who live in the area and work there that there are difficulties in getting around, even if the distances are short. The best thing is that they can move by bicycle, That’s where the idea of carrying out this initiative comes from,” said the former cyclist from Madrid.
As Contador explained to his networks, “Donations of bicycles, as well as accessory materials, can be made.such as helmets, at any Seur office throughout Spain or at the headquarters of the Contador Foundation, in Pinto”.
Donations can be made from the weekend and can be extended throughout the months of November and December.
“I hope we have a lot of jobs and bring a lot of bikes to the areas affected by DANA,” Contador concluded.
