Tests at Yas Marina will begin after the Emirati track hosts the final race of the Formula 1 World Championship from December 6 to 8 and will serve as Sainz’s first point of contact with the FW46, the team said in a statement.
Sainz, 30, will close his time at Ferrari after the final test in Abu Dhabi, where he has played the last four seasons and achieved four victories, the last at the Mexican Grand Prix on October 27, in addition to 25 podiums .
“The test session at the Yas Marina circuit will provide an important opportunity for the Spaniard to begin to integrate into the environment of his new team (…) and begin to build their relationship with a view to next season,” highlights Williams.
