Kosovo left the field to chants of ‘Serbia, Serbia’ from the stands

Date:

Important and unpleasant controversy that occurred this Friday at The Romania-Kosovo match, which was suspended in the 93rd minute and with the score 0-0. Again, football is punctuated by extra-sports reasons.

The spigot of controversy had already been turned on by injury time due to a clash in between Denis Alibec and Amir Rrahmani, the captain of Kosovo, which unleashed a fight between the players of both teams.

And after the incident, a significant sector of Romanian fans began to fill the stands who chanted the cry ‘Serbia, Serbia’, as it rained that the Kosovar players left the field very sad.

As they left, some Kosovar players responded to provocations from the stands making the ‘eagle’ symbol in reference to ‘Greater Albania’, which claims parts of Greece, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Serbia as its own.

The referee of the match Morten Krogh has ‘invited’ the Kosovo players back on the fieldafter a few minutes, but they refused to return. And we have to be very attentive to what the UEFA rules are because this could give Kosovo a game for the loser.
