Martín/Bastianini lead
Martín made a good start from the second row -fourth in practice-, which allowed him to overtake Bastianini at the end of the straight at the start of the third lap. But far from settling, the Italian driver reversed the maneuver on the next lap, and both entered a head-to-head situation that allowed Bagnaia to open a comfortable gap that allowed him to have a ‘quiet’ career. Under normal circumstances, Jorge would have fought to the finish line, but now it was not his turn.

The traction of the Martín motorcycle at the entrance to the straight
Every time Jorge comes out of the finish line, you can clearly see how his bike has worse traction than Enea Bastianini, beating him or gaining him, depending on the position of the two, by a few tenths.

3
Bagnaia chose the front wheel
Gigi Dall’igna, director of Ducati Corse, does not want his riders to come out of the race with something that has not been tried before, but that is exactly what Bagnaia has done today by installing hard tires on the front axle. Martín thought it was a strategy to mislead him, but in the race it proved to be the good option.

Pressing between Márquez and Acosta in the third corner of the race
Marc started from the first row of the grid, Pedro from the second row behind him. Márquez took a bit longer on the final braking of the straight, staying off the line. Acosta took advantage of the rope in turn 1 to get inside. Their paths crossed at turn 3, and in the crash Murcian’s KTM lost its fairing. Marc continued the race to finish seventh, and later confessed that, if there was a culprit, it was him.

The departure of Aleix Espargaró
After a lap with ‘his eyes closed’, Aleix went to the front row of the grid. A position he didn’t know how to take advantage of at first. Eighth at the first corner with several fairings in between, he was dropped in a recovery race that paid off with a final fourth place when Alex Márquez went wide at turn 10 on the penultimate lap.
