Carlos Alcaraz was announced this Monday as the great attraction of the tournament Queen’s, before Wimbledon for its 2025 edition.
The Murcian, who won the title in 2023, missed out with an elbow injury in 2022, while in 2024 he fell in the second fight against Jack Draper. In both 2023 and 2024 he was champion at Wimbledon three weeks after Queen’s.
“I’m looking forward to getting back on the grass at Queen’s next summer. Winning the title two years ago gave me the confidence to win Wimbledon for the first time, so it means a lot to me to compete here. Ready I want to come back in 2025 and give everything to win another title. I want to join the list of players who have won it several times, like Feliciano López, Andy Murray and Andy Roddick.
The Queen’s contest, 500 category, will be held from June 16 to 22while the week before a women’s tournament will be played on the same courts for the first time since 1973.
