Dani Carvajal was awarded by Association of Spanish Footballers (AFE) with the award AFE Values Award given to you by your president, David Aganzothis Monday at Valdebebas Sports City.
For the association, the captain of Real Madrid is “a perfect representative of the values of the sport, an exemplary footballer and model for new generations.” Carvajal is in the process of recovering from a triple fracture in his right knee that he suffered in October in a Liga match against Villarreal.
“Thank you for coming here because it is very difficult for me to go to any gala because of the situation of my knee. I am very happy for this award, for the values that I try to convey on and off the field. I have been a follower of AFE for many years and from my position I try to contribute my grain of sand I am very proud and I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart,” the right-back thanked in the statements that reported on Real Madrid’s website.
