“During Bayern’s Champions League match, banners addressing Paris Saint-Germain and its president Nasser Al-Khelaifi will be seen at the Allianz Arena. Bayern would like to apologize if their opponents and the their representatives in their stadium are being personally attacked in this way and in this tone and they feel offended by it,” the Bavarian club announced on Wednesday.
The German entity “also wants to clarify” that “these banners were not authorized by Bayern and do not represent their position.”
“They are not in line with the good and long-standing relationship between the two clubs. The tone of these banners also contradicts Bayern’s style and the respectful behavior that the club cultivates with its partners at the international level ,” added the German giant.
