The Prosecutor’s Office requested on Wednesday three years in prison – one of which is stable – already Mathias Pogba for blackmail, along with five other close friends, to his brother Paul Pogba, world champion with the French team in 2018.
Mathias accepted the request for the lightest sentence to the defendants and he will be allowed to serve a full year with an electronic bracelet.
For Roushdane K., 39 years old and the only one who appeared in the Paris Court under temporary arrest, the Prosecutor’s Office sued eight years in prison for being behind the express kidnapping with a gun in which the footballer was victimized in March 2022, with the aim of asking him for 13 million euros.
Joining Mathias
For the prosecutor, Mathias, 34, was not aware of this extortion plan from the beginning.
However, “I know that the group’s goal is to get 13 million euros from Paul”, an amount that the group demands in exchange for guaranteeing the midfielder’s physical safety.
The requested sentences from five close friends
Pogba’s older brother has not yet been charged with kidnapping, as were the other five members of the group: the aforementioned Roushdane K., Adama C. (33 years old), Boubacar C. (35), Mamadou M. (30) and Mohamed Machikour K. (36). For the last four, the Prosecutor’s Office requested five years in prison.
Without Paul Pogba’s presence throughout the processhis lawyer asked for 50,000 euros for moral damages on Tuesday and demanded that five of the defendants, excluding Mathias, return what they should have spent on behalf of the player (about 200,000 euros between purchases and cash donation).
In his court appearance on Tuesday, Mathias assigned responsibility for the blackmail to Roushdane K.

The older brother of the 2018 world champion recalled the high-profile video he published in August 2022, in which he mentioned “shocking revelations” about the midfielder and about Kylian Mbappé, on whom Pobga cast a spell with the help of a witch.
“Now I can say, indirectly, They are forcing me to make that video,” commented Mathias, attributing that pressure to Roushdane K.
