Alex Rins, Suzuki’s rider until the end of the season when the Hamamatsu factory withdrew from the competition, acknowledged that he would soon sign for two years with the satellite team Honda LCR, owned by Italian Lucio Cecchinello and if where this year is Alex Márquez, who this morning announced his signing for the Gresini team, along with Ducati.
“The truth is yes, the small details remain to be closed, but it is more or less done,” Rins admits between smiles, saying, however, that “there is no official, but more more or less it and with the departure of Si Álex (Márquez), who announced that he was going to Gresini, everyone will be able to imagine where I will dive next year. The truth is I am happy, because it is a very good one project and I look forward to it ”, stressed Alex Rins in his future.
“What I was looking for was an official bike with factory support. Ducati couldn’t give it to me and eventually we chose the LCR Honda, which could offer it to me and nothing else (the Aprilia RNF the third option I am considering) ”, Rins added.
“It’s an interesting project, because the bike doesn’t work very well in terms of results, so we’ll see what we can do. I like the challenge in front of me. We’ve done a very good job on Suzuki, so we will try to do the same with Honda. ”
