The 2026 Formula 1 season will begin with a new team on the grid. A few weeks ago, the FIA approved the arrival of the Cadillac F1 team as a new member of the World Championship.
After various rumors about which manufacturer will supply engines and gearboxes to the new team from 2026, whether Mercedes or Ferrari, finally the Italian Scuderia will be in charge of the production, thus confirming its relationship with Cadillac through a brief statement.
“Ferrari today announced a multi-year agreement starting in 2026 with Andretti Formula Racing LLC, relating to the supply of power units and gearboxes to the racing team managed by TWG Global and General Motors, subject to Andretti Formula Racing LLC receiving written confirmation from the FIA and Formula 1 that your entry into the 2026 FIA Formula 1 Championship has been accepted and approved.”
In this regard, Cadillac has not yet released any statement about its relationship with Ferrari and, in addition, the duration of the agreement between both parties is unknown. However, everything seems to indicate that it will be from 2028 onwards when General Motors will be in charge of developing their own power units.
