The Spanish Federation of Sports for the Blind (FEDC) held its annual gala this Tuesday where it recognized the work of athletes, technicians, entities and journalists who worked to promote the image of inclusion of people with disabilities through sport, in a year marked by Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
In the event, which took place in Palace of the Dukes of Pastrana (Madrid)), attend to president of the Spanish Paralympic Committee, Alberto Durán; he advisor to the presidential cabinet of the Higher Sports Council, Fernando Olmeda; and the FEDC president, Ángel Luis Gómez. Blind athletes and technicians from the Federation itself also gathered, as well as various authorities from the ONCE Social Group.
In the media category, FEDC awarded Mundo Deportivo, it features the oldest sports publication still published in Spain and the second in Europe. Also noteworthy is the coverage conducted by the special envoy to the Paralympic Games, Marta Perez, whose work has made it possible for any reader of this sports newspaper to follow current events up to the minute.
