The WTA is finalizing the announcements of the 2024 award winners

The WTA These days it announces its awards for the 2024 season and in recent hours it has publicly announced four new awards: they are for Renzo Furlan as the best coach, for Ounce Jabeur of service to players and to sportsmanship and for Aryna Sabalenka in the development of women’s tennis.

Renzo Furlan is identified as Coach of the Year of this season (as voted by registered WTA coaches) for her key role in turning Jasmine Paolini into one of the stars of 2024. Paolini started the year in the top 30 and finished 4th in the world after winning the WTA 1000 from Dubai, play the finals of Roland Garros and Wimbledon and debut at the WTA Finals. In addition, she won gold in doubles at the Paris Games with Sara Errani.

while, Ounce Jabeur received two awards. They are the Karen Krantzcke Sportsmanship Award and Peachy Kellmeyer Player Service Awardboth voted by their peers. The first was awarded in recognition of his support for fair play and respect. The second, for the support and help given to the players and their collective.

Finally, Aryna Sabalenka has received ACES Award for the promotion of women’s tennis to fans and media. Sabalenka’s significant contribution to women’s sport advocacy is recognized with this award and her name joins a prestigious list of past winners that includes Angelique Kerber, Elina Svitolina and, most recently, Jessica Pegula.
