Rio Ferdinandlegend of Manchester Unitedassured that “a Pep Guardiola team has never looked so bad”, after Manchester City lost on Wednesday against Juventus Turin. The ‘Sky Blues’ have won just one of their last ten games, losing the battle for the Premier League, where they are eight points behind the leaders, with one more game to play, and the Champions League, where they are twenty ‘t- second, with eight points, and with an important match at home to Paris Saint Germain on January 22.
“I think they continue to surprise us with everything they have achieved in recent years,” Ferdinand said on the ‘TNT Sports’ network. “They have been a terrible team, they have won four Premier Leagues in a row and they have an amazing record of success, but we have never seen a Guardiola team that bad. He has to find a way to strengthen them and get back to form and they are really confident now,” added the former English centre-back.
The calendar offers no respite for Guardiola’s men and this Sunday they face Manchester United in the Premier League. If they don’t beat Rúben Amorim’s team, they could drop out of the top four in the standings.
