Uruguayan coach Guillermo Almada, coach of Mexican Pachuca, said this Tuesday that in the final of Intercontinental Cup against him real Madrid “Names and history don’t play a role” and “it’s going to be eleven on eleven.”
“We have to believe in our possibilities, we have the same number of players on each team, names or history do not play a role here. “If we believe in ourselves and follow our dream and play our style, we will reach that goal.”he pointed out.
“We come from a very busy calendartoday we try to give our best to the game of Real Madrid. We’ve had some really good games and we hope to continue that path in the final. It would be a very significant victory for us to beat Real Madrid. We know it will be very complicated, but we will try,” said Almada.
The Pachuca coach indicated that he has no plans to stop players like Vinicius and Mbappéespecially since Real Madrid has many stars in all lines, and stressed that what is important to them is betting on team play, ensuring defense and organization on the field so that Pachuca can be at the level of competitiveness of the European champions.
Almada praised Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, Coach of Real Madrid. “Ancelotti is one of the most important coaches in the history of football and we will try to make sure that he is not the coach with the most titles (of Real Madrid) tomorrow, but that does not take away his merits as one of the best,” he stressed.
